The COSPAR 2020 Local Organising Committee acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the country on which COSPAR 2020 will meet, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
Australia’s Indigenous people are the world’s oldest astronomers. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to be careful observers of the stars. The stars are the homes of their ancestors, animals, plants, and spirits. The stars serve as calendars, a law book and inform all aspects of daily life and culture. The First Australians observed the properties of stars (such as brightness, colour, and position) and noticed even the most subtle changes in these properties.

43rd Scientific Assembly: Call for Abstracts are now open
We invite you to submit your abstract to secure your role in ensuring COSPAR 2020 is the place to be for all researchers of Space in 2020. The theme of the 2020 Assembly is Connecting Space Research for Global Impact.
The Program will be as extensive as it will be interesting. Eight Scientific Commissions that off over 100 different topics will be combined with a variety of Panels and Special Events. If it is about space research, it will be at COSPAR 2020.
