WIA-E signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Netherlands Space Society

Dear WIA-E members,

on June 28th, WIA-E President,  Luisella Giulicchi, signed a Memorandum of Understandingwith the Netherlands Space Society (NVR) in the occasion of the NVR Annual General Assembly.

With this partnership, members of both societies are able to participate in each other’s events.

Background information about The Netherlands Space Society:

The Netherlands Space Society (NVR) is the foremost platform for space professionals from or working in The Netherlands and the product of a long and rich 65+ year history. They have a network of 1000+ members. These range from students to space enthusiasts to established professionals, all of whom benefit from the varied activities an NVR membership offers. Apart from newsletters and increasing outreach initiatives on social media, the main communication arm of the NVR today is the glossy magazine Ruimtevaart.

Ruimtevaart has existed for almost as long as the NVR itself. It contains wide-ranging material and subject matter, written by the experienced editorial team and our enthusiastic volunteers. Although Ruimtevaart is a publication about and for the space sector, it is written for all with an appreciation for space – with or without technical knowledge. More information about the Netherlands Space Society can be found through their website www.ruimtevaart-nvr.nl or by mail via info@ruimtevaart-nvr.nl

Luisella took the opportunity to introduce WIA-Europe to the attendees of this General Assembly. After that, the President of NVR, Gerard Blaauw and Luisella, both signed the MoU.

We are looking forward to a fruitfull and long-term cooperation.
