The SGAC IAC lunch will be sponsored by WIA this year, and as such the last 15 minutes will feature Director of Legal Affairs Tanja Masson-Zwaan, who will speak about the past, present and future work of WIA-Europe.

WIA-Europe’s first African networking breakfast is set to be packed with news of exciting developments. First and foremost, it is where we will formally introduce our new sister organisation WIA Africa and announce our new partner COSPAR. Grant winner Christine Hill will also be presented to members, as the funds supplied by WIA-E gave her the opportunity to attend IAC. The event will be opened by WIA President Simonetta Di Pippo and Chairman of DLR Prof. Johann-Dietrich Wörner, as well as feature a short speech by a representative of our sponsor; the South African Department of Trade and Industry.
5 October panel discussion: ‘Perspectives on Space Exploration’

The Roof Terrace Room in the CTICC will provide the setting for our members to pick the brains of some high-level sector professionals. Susan “Stacey” Edgington, Chair of the IAF Young Professionals Programme Committee will present the panel, which will be composed of WIA-E President Simonetta Di Pippo, WIA-E Chair and CEO of HE Space Claudia Kessler, Dr. Lori Garner, NASA Deputy Administrator and NASA Astronaut Dr Catherine “Cady”Coleman. A Q&A session will be followed by an evening of networking.
6 October WIA present at IAF Careers day
Director of International Relations Andrea Boese will be at the DLR stand as the WIA representative for IAC Career Day.
