About EUMETSAT

EUMETSAT has completely transformed its Geostationary Mission Control Centre to cater for the simultaneous operations of our existing fleet of Meteosat Second Generation Satellites and the Meteosat Third Generation spacecraft to be deployed from 2021, and to provide a more modern working environment for satellite controllers.

Dr Tobias Miethaner, Head of the Digital Society Directorate-General of the German Federal Ministry for Transport and Digital Infrastructure, will perform the official opening. The ceremony will be conducted in English.
