Dear WIA-E members,
in Bremen the Galileo constellation was developed and manufactured. But what about the applications of the Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS for location-based services (LBS) and the Internet of Things (IoT), smart mobility and smart cities, aviation and drones, waterborne applications, search and rescue and crisis management.
Therefore, European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) contest annually awards the best services, products, and business ideas using satellite navigation in everyday life.
The team from Bremen PlanBlue was the 2018 winner of Overall Space Oscar awarded on 4 December 2018 in Marseille.
95% of the oceans are unexplored PlanBlue is trying to change that with intelligent seafloor mapping! Their idea is improving nature conservation.
During the WIA-E Bremen meeting, Dr. Hannah Brocke (Co-founder & COO of PlanBlue GmbH) previously a scientist, currently an entrepreneur, will tell us about her experience of the contest and being leader of a start-up from Bremen and how they use Galileo.
