On the 4th of October, on the occasion of World Space Week, the Town Hall of Tres Cantos and WIA-E Madrid held the First Space Workshop for Kids at Centro Cultural Adolfo Suárez of Tres Cantos (Madrid).
The event was opened by Mr Jesús Moreno, the Major of Tres Cantos. He highlighted the commitment of Tres Cantos to the aerospace industry and the importance of the space in our daily lives.
Monste Casas, Amaya Atencia, Mariella Graziano, and Monica Rodríguez, from WIA-E Madrid, spoke above the space industry in the region, how Copernicus satellites help us to take care of the environment, and how space debris is managed. Ana Martínez, also from WIA-E Madrid, presented and moderated the event. After the talks, the speakers shared their experience with the students, answering all the interesting questions they rose about the space.
The workshop ended with a poster session, prepared by the students and which will be shown at the Centro Cultural Adolfo Suárez until the 10th of October.
