WIA-EUROPE ROUNDTABLE SERIES: WOMEN TRAILBLAZERS
The second session of the WIA-Europe Trailblazers Round Table Series will take place on 26th of September during the Cryo2Ice Symposium 2024. The session will bring together prominent figures from diverse organisations, academia, industries, and associations to engage in a focused dialogue on the present and future or Cryosphere science and engineering. The main objective is to inspire and to discuss the current status and future development in remote sensing monitoring of the cryosphere as a crucial element of the Earth system in the Climate Change.
Moderated by Luisella Giulicchi, President of WIA-Europe and ESA Copernicus System Manager, the session will feature an expert group of panellists:
- Dr. Anny Cazenave, Geodesist and Ocean Scientist
- Dr. Helen Fricker, SCRIPPS, Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics
- Dr. Rachel Tilling, Associate Research Scientist. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center/University of Maryland
- Renée Fredensborg Hansen, Technical University of Denmark, National Space Institute (DTU Space) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
This roundtable will be the second of a series of events that WIA-Europe will continue to host, aimed at giving visibility to women experts in various STEM fields.
