Empowering all Women, in Space and on Earth

Parting WIA-Europe Volunteer – Rachel Jenkins

We would like to announce that Rachel Jenkins will be stepping down from her role as LinkedIn Management and Content Integration on the WIA-Europe Volunteer team at the end of this year.

Rachel’s contributions have been truly invaluable—from curating the weekly Job Boards on LinkedIn and launching a new series highlighting women trailblazers in the industry to her unwavering dedication to advancing women in aerospace. We are grateful for her efforts and wish all the best in her next chapter.

Since 2021, I’ve had the privilege of representing GMV UK in the Women In Aerospace Europe (WIA-Europe) network. I joined to support initiatives empowering women in leadership and promote the space industry as a career for young women.

Over the years, I’ve contributed to various WIA-Europe projects, including leading a research group on remote working’s impact on the space industry and managing LinkedIn content to promote events and initiatives. I also helped with outreach campaigns like job promotions and supported the annual WIA-Europe Symposium.

I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering joining the network to get involved. WIA-Europe offers an incredible array of opportunities at both European and local levels, and it has been truly inspiring to meet so many accomplished, motivated women making their mark on the industry and shaping its future.

Thank you very much to the WIA-Europe team for providing such a rewarding experience and to GMV for supporting me in this opportunity.

Rachel Jenkins
