Dear students and interested women,
The University of Bremen, Germany, invites women
experts in engineering as well as women working
interdisciplinarily in the field to contribute to
the 7th Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni. The
international summer university will take place
from August 10 to August 21, 2015 at Bremen
University.
Women experts from science and practice are
welcome to submit their contributions from
electrical engineering, production engineering,
mechanical and process engineering and their
interdisciplinary subjects until February 07,
2015. We also invite lecturers with contributions
concerning studying and career. A program
committee will decide on the contributions.
Teaching assignments can be allocated to
lecturers. Course languages are German and
English.
The Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni is an open,
explorative teaching and learning environment. To
reach a diverse program for different levels of
studying, we are looking for lectures, seminars,
workshops etc. from the whole field of
engineering. We seek for contributions concerning
exemplary engineering application fields (e.g.
medicine), concerning working experience (e.g.
project management, quality management, product
development and product control) or concerning
topics from engineering and society (e.g. aspects
of labor market policies or sustainability). We
also welcome contributions that aim to train
social skills. The summer university is aiming at
professional networking of students and advanced
training of women engineers on an academic level.
There will be several possibilities for talks and
short presentations during the summer university.
Talks with a length of 30 to 60 minutes are
welcome.
Furthermore we invite companies to sponsor the summer university.
There will be various chances to meet graduates
at the career fair ‘JobForum’ of
Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni and Informatica Feminale
on August 19, 2015.
