WIA Europe is very pleased to announce that the grant winners for the latter half of 2012 have been chosen. Congratulations to Zhuoyan Lu and Eirini Komninou!

Both ladies will receive €500 to accommodate their travel to the 2012 IAC in Naples so that they can present their submitted papers in person. They entered truly excellent abstracts and are highly motivated students well deserving of their prize, which also includes a free membership to Women in Aerospace Europe.

An special mention goes to Anja Frey, whose application to attend the ISU earned her the recognition of the Board, although it was sadly ineligible for this programme.

Thank you to all who entered – it was again a tough decision. We would like to encourage all who were unsuccessful this year to try again next time.
