Hey Team,

I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be stepping into the role of Bremen Group Leader for Women in Aerospace!

I’ve got some big shoes to fill, as the previous leaders have gone on to become trailblazers in the aerospace industry—so no pressure, right? But with such an amazing legacy to build on, I’m more than ready to rise to the challenge (even if I might need a rocket booster or two).

I can’t wait to start collaborating with all of you to help lift more women here down on Earth and beyond.

To kick things off, I’m already working on some stellar ideas for us:

* Annual Networking Event at Space Tech Expo: Picture this—connecting with industry leaders, sharing ideas, and geeking out over spacecraft What better place to boost our network and celebrate our shared passions?

* Celebration of the First Woman in Space: A special event to honor the incredible journey of Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to reach for the stars. We’ll celebrate her legacy, reflect on how far we’ve come, and envision how far we can still go.

Let’s keep breaking and proving that gravity is just a suggestion – just build a stronger rocket to defy it.

Looking forward to the incredible journey ahead with all of you!

To infinity and beyond,

Dr. Anna Chrobry

Dear colleagues and friends,

After many exciting years as WIA-E Regional Network Leader in Bremen, the time has come for me to step down from this role. It’s been an incredible journey filled with collaboration and personal growth, but I can no longer commit to the level of care and dedication this remarkable group of women deserves.

Together, we organized visits to local cutting-edge scientific facilities, our members proudly presenting their work; we got hands-on workshops covering engineering and personal development skills; we bonded over dinners and aperitifs; we navigated through the challenges of the lock-downs, supporting each other and strengthening our European network.

Connecting and empowering individuals in this network has been a privilege, and I am especially proud of the work I have done to champion the cause of women in STEM, both as a speaker and through my professional life, standing firm against uncomfortable situations, for myself and for those who couldn’t.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

I look forward to seeing you at the next event (Space Tech Expo in Bremen is approaching!), but as a member only from now on.

Sincerely yours,

Sabrina
