The WIA Europe networking event at COSPAR turned out to be a great success with over ninety people pre-registering but more than two hundred actually joining on the day itself. Claudia Kessler, WIA Europe Chair, and Andrea Boese, WIA Europe Director of International Relations gave a brief welcome speech to the international audience. Lancaster cosmetics

We promised we would organise meetings on a regular basis at aerospace-related events and are proud to announce that at ILA 2010 we organised our first panel discussion entitled “How can more women in the aerospace business get into leadership positions?”. Around 20 people attended WIA Europe’s second General Assembly at ESTEC, including ESA DG Jean-Jacques Dordain.

The breakfast started at 8.30 and four of our board members were there to meet our WIA Europe members and other interested parties. Even at this early hour before the IAF Spring Meeting had started for the day, the breakfast was well attended. It offered us a chance to welcome some new members on board
