Leiden Regional Network was founded in 2013.

Leiden is home to the International Institute of Air and Space Law, Dutch Space, as well as home to many employees of ESTEC and ESTEC Consultancy Companies.

An old and beautiful Dutch city, its wealth in both students and seasoned aerospace professionals make it a supreme networking opportunity.

The primary focus at WIA-Europe RN Leiden is to build a strong community for women in the Netherlands aerospace industry.

By emphasising advocacy, education and outreach, professional development, and fostering industry partnerships, WIA-Europe RN Leiden will aim to inspire girls and young women to explore this field’s exciting opportunities, combining the expertise of senior professionals in the field.

Through targeted initiatives and strategic implementation, this Regional Network will strive to empower the next generation of women in aerospace and create a more inclusive and diverse industry.

Core Activities:

• Networking Events: WIA-E Leiden hosts networking events where women in aerospace can connect, share experiences, and forge valuable professional connections.
• Corporate Visits and Startup Tours: WIA-Leiden facilitates visits to aerospace companies and startups, providing members with insights into the latest innovations, trends, and career opportunities in the aerospace industry. 
• Cultural and Educational Activities: WIA-Europe Leiden organizes cultural and educational activities, including visits to aerospace museums, exhibitions, and talks on the intersection of aerospace and technology.
